Summary

Under direct supervision of the Director of Human Resources, the Employee Training and Education Manager is responsible for providing leadership to the Employee Training and Education team and ensuring the training activities for employees are designed, implemented, and tracked through our Learning Management Systems (LMS).

Essential Functions

• Lead and manage the Employee Training and Education Administrator on the training of employees and managers on the LMS platforms
• Develop and implement strategic plans to contribute to the evolution of the LMS platforms, including documentation and training materials, promoting its full use
• Work with the hiring managers to identify and develop the training needs of BLM GROUP’s current and new employees, and coordinate with the Employee Training and Education Administrator as needed to ensure any activities or trainings are assigned
• Work with the Employee Training and Education Administrator to ensure training path timelines and progress are being tracked and managed
• Provide support and lead the Employee Training and Education team, while monitoring performance and providing guidance as needed
• Foster effective communication within the Employee Training and Education team
• Define and validate training programs for employees, with the aim of continuously improving skills and career development, while coordinating with other BLM GROUP locations as needed
• Update training proposals (catalog of LMS courses) for each employee as needed
• Manage and oversee BLM GROUP’s sustainability reporting for all recorded training on the LMS platforms
• Implement the training activities approved in the budget, and verify and analyze further training needs
• Verify correct configurations of training activities in relation to their materials, tests and documentation usable through the LMS platforms
• Ability to travel up to 30% as required by management
• Other duties as assigned by management

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree is preferred
• Previous experience with training projects, organizing training activities, verifying training needs required
• Experience with Cornerstone OnDemand (CSOD) Learning Management System highly preferred
• ADP Workforce Now and Absorb Learning Management Systems preferred but not necessary
• Experience managing and leading a team preferred
• Familiarity with BLM GROUP training courses and machines preferred

Licensing/Certifications

• A clear driving record containing no more than two (2) minor moving violations in three (3) years and no major violations in the last seven (7) years

Knowledge, Skills, and other Abilities

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
• Proficient with IT-related tools dedicated to the management of contents and data analysis
• Ability to manage training activities and programs
• Knowledge related to the assessment of competencies
• Ability to be creative and open to new ideas
• Highly organized and proactive
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Excellent time management skills
• Effective team player who can work with all levels of team members
• Fluent in Italian preferred, but not necessary
